Default 19 inch AXIS Hiro and car wash

Hello everybody,

I have recently put on a set of 19 inch Axis Hiro, gunmetal, with 35/245 and 35/275 Toyo T1S on my PPW. They are gorgeous!!

It's time for a car wash.

Does anybody know if my rim will rub if I take it to a machine car wash with guide rails? My local car wash place told me they won't because the guide rails are lined with plastic rollers, but I want to get some input from you guys before I risk damaging the wheels. Thanks.

AAAAA....don't wash your Z with those machine car wash. HAND WASH only. Also, don't let them spray one of the wheel cleaner to your rim.

Nice choice on the wheels! But I agree with Bubble.........never take your Z through a machine car wash. Hand wash only......leave the machine car wash for your hoopty

i have never run my Z through a car wash but i don't think I would worry too much about a touchless carwash.

Just chiming in my $0.02... I took my Z to a "touchless" car wash over a year ago ... not thinking about it, and as a result, I have two curbed wheels (ADR M-Sport 18"s) - scraped about 1.5" on the lip, from their "plastic" rollers.

Do yourself a favor ... hand wash, or make sure the advertised "Hand Wash" places still don't run your car through their conveyer.

Don't do it!!! it will scratch it up some way or another.. I usually take it to self coin wash, I would used the spray gun, but I would always bring my own bucket and sponge to wash it with. Never use the brush that the car wash use, it will cause swirl mark or scratch like crazy!!! just my 2 cents!!

Thanks for the input, guys.

I live in an apartment and we don't have hoses near the parking lot. So the only way for me to hand wash is to bring lots of buckets...

Guess I'm gonna have to find a self-help car wash place near where I live.
