Default question regarding lowering my Z(need help ASAP)

i plan to put in the eibach pro kit..
what consequences will i get from that..
will the tires wear out faster..and will the feathering occur faster?
i have a 04.5Z..and never did really much suspension work on a car..
can anyone give me some suggestions?? the kit will lower the car 1" front and back..

i would go w/a set of aftermarket struts as well since i don't that the stock ones will be able to handle the drop. other than that, you may want to invest in some adjustable camber and tractin rods to keep your camber in spec. also look at evo350z's adjustable a frame which seems to be getting a lot of praise. i'm lowered on the JIC coilovers and its a lot lower than what the eibach is going to give you and i've logged quite a few miles on this setup(see sig) and i'm fine...no issues

Lowering the car an inch is not going to mess anything up. Put them on and get an alignment and you're done.

I have the Eibach drop and the ride is very good. Get an alignment soon afterward. Depending on your wheel setup, you may need a rear camber kit.

You drop the car an inch, and I can almost guarantee you will be running somewhat excessive camber. Especially after the springs settle (even though they may advertise "0" settle!) Seems everyone is having slightly different results depending on their individual car...but if you don't want to risk excessive numbers I wouldn't suggest going for more than about a .75" drop. This is what I did and couldn't get any better than +2camber. Just food for thought...don't do the drop if you don't want those numbers and don't want to spend additional money on kits, etc. Good luck.

SPC has a real nice rear camber kit that includes cam bolts for the rear toe. It is a straight forward install and pretty reasonably priced, around $220.

+1 on the SPC, we have it and love it. I'd think you only really need it if you have big wheels. Just get an alignment and if you feel your tires are wearing even a little fast, get the camber kit...then when/if you get bigger wheels, you wont have to worry about that part !
