Default tire suggestions for a SC430?

the sizes are 245/18/40 all around.

the requirements in order of importance are feel, price, performance. its not raced or anything, so no major traction is needed; but as of now it rides like udder ****. it has potenza RE040 runflat.

lexus says its the runflat that makes it ride like ****; and that the tires are so wide they track to anything in the road... I call ******** on the wide statement since mine doesnt. but we'll try the runflat claim anyway.

so non runflat(have to call a towtruck if she gets a flat).

its a lease; 1year left so we arent looking to break the bank on tires.

go to a lexus site and Ill get a bunch of pompous ****** talking about some 500$ tire and anything less would be bad.

i like my350z better, I have a suspicious people here know more about cars and tires than a lexus forum.

remember their the people that pay 5grand for a set of TRD rims.

I'm not sure what your looking for in a tire, but these 3 have good reviews and very affordable.

Falken 451
Falken Azenis ST-115
Kumho Ecsta ASX

Then if you want to pay double you can get Michelin PS2. I ended up not wanting these cause every shop I went to said that they have the stickiest grip and won't slide. I don't know why they were trying to use that for their sales pitch.

Check out this offering from Yokohama. It is very quiet and comfortable, with decent performance. For an SC430 on lease this ought to do you well. They go for about $170, so not the cheapest shoes you can get, but not bad at all for what they deliver on your menu of priorities.

The Azenis ST-115 is an excellent tire. I had them on my Z for awhile and they are awesome. Inexpensive, good traction, still slideable. But, they wore out pretty fast (12k miles). Right now I have Toyo Proxes T1-S and love them. The sidewall has a little more flex so its less bumpy than the Azenis and they girp like a mother.

As for tires curing the ride problem, I guess it couldn't hurt but numerous car review shows I have seen (most notably, Britain's Top Gear) have completely slammed the SC430 on its handling. It's like a schizo luxo cruiser/sports car that trys to do some many things it fumbles everything... Their words. I'm under the impression you'll need new suspension and some wheels to push the car out to a wider track before you notice any real difference.

Best of Luck
