I dont know who DPE is, but the shop that made these was the shop that HRE used before they started doing everything IN HOUSE, so that is why I was told they are HRE quality =).

He is gathering all of the information for me right now and getting the pictures of the other models. I'm gonna ask about a group buy, but know that he gets falken tires cheaper than anywhere else so perhaps we can do somethign with that too. =)

Will keep you guys posted.

here is the email i recieved today!!! yay!

Hi Pat,
I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, I didn't have everything ready.

Here is some key information:

-Discount-wise, I can give the 350Zers and G35ers a special introductory price of 25% off the retail price.

-Our wheels are HRE quality because we are using HRE's old wheel cutter and their current wheel finisher/painter.

-All wheels are custom made to order and the lead time is approximately 2-3 weeks which as you probably know, is significantly better than industry standard. We are trying to minimize lead time to 1-2 weeks. Of course if we are overwhelmed with orders, the lead time may increase but we will make every effort to meet or beat our quoted lead time.

-At the minimum, every 2-3 days, we will send you a list of the progress of your wheels/customers' wheels.

-Our goal is HRE quality at 2/3rds the price and first-rate customer service.

-We have a few more styles coming out in the next few weeks including a Sportec 10-spoke look 3-piece wheel.

-Currently, we can make wheels from 19x7.0 to 20x13.0 in 0.5" increments with 1.0" lip to 5.0" lip in 0.5" increments.

-We have applications just about all cars and eventually SUVs. For cars, we can do bolt patterns of 5x100 to 5x130.

-22" and 24" will be introduced in the coming months. 18" if there is enough interest. Currently there is not.

-Hidden bolt option (similar to the HRE 840 series wheels) will be available in about two weeks. It will be ~$85 more per wheel

Here is the basic retail price for 19":

Width 19" wheel

8.0" $1,075.00

8.5" $1,115.00

9.0" $1,157.00

9.5" $1,199.00

10.0" $1,243.00

10.5" $1,287.00

11.0" $1,333.00

11.5" $1,379.00

12.0" $1,426.00

12.5" $1,473.00

13.0" $1,522.00

Here are some updated pictures: http://public.fotki.com/s4madman/~d...dcr_forged/dcr/

Here is some more info: http://public.fotki.com/s4madman/~d...ed/dcr/dcr.html

If you have any additional questions or comments, please don't hesitate in e-mailing me. I will be more than happy to answer them. :-)

Thank you for your consideration and regards,

Dan

nuttyprof,

19x9.0F
19x11R
offsets to be flush with the fender and clear the factory Brembos

If he has a hookup on tires, include that in the price if possible (Pilot Sport 265F/295R)

Yes, but these are custom made 3pc forged wheels, not the same thing you have come to see on every 3rd members car here on the forums.

Volks are quality for sure, but these are exclusive, quality and custom .... something that usually comes with a nice price too.

my opinion on the matter,
jim

If you want to play with the big boys, you got to pay like the big boys. If these wheels are HRE quality, you got to see them in person to fully appreciate them. My HRE's look like a machinist made. Hard to describe without seeing them in person. Yes they are a lot of money but the highest quality is never cheap.

Look the way I see it...what is important is the seal on the wheel and that they are put together well ...ie correct torque specs and that the machines that cut the centers are precise...

That is the key to a 3 piece wheel all the outers and inners come from the same place what matters is how precise you cut the center and how well you seal the wheel with the silicon and how you stay with the torque requirements for the fasteners...

If I know anything it is this because I have had personal experience with like 4 different brands of three piece and HRE is not the same as this stuff...but if it is 1/4 the price...then as long as you feel comfortable driving on them at over 100mph then do it...

Dude, I am not Dan. Dan drives an Audi S4. but since you know him, you can vouch for him that he is a good guy.

and yeah, im probably going to get a set myself once i get some money.... i cant wait to see them in person. I saw Dizz's HRE's and OMG freaking sweet. I figure if these are made by the same machine shop that used to make HRE's, the quality and fitment, specs, etc should be just as tight and precise. =) big smile for the extra money i get to spend on headers muahahaa.
