Default Painting my rims

anyone know a shop in southern california that can paint my rims?

Don't paint them... Powder Coat them... paint will scratch real easy and then you'll have to continue to repaint. Powder Coat will not scratch so easy.

+2. In your neck of the woods, talk to Jason @ performance. They have a powdercoat shop that they work with, and are reasonably priced.

i painted mine and the only place that i have problems with are the lug holes from the socket scratching the paint... if i had to do it again i would powdercoat. any body shop can paint them though.

I saw in one of Jason's posts that they charge 350, which is a great price. I charge 300 myself, but I'm on the east coast. 18s are my limit, and a friend just had his 19s done at a wheel refinisher, they charged him 700, inclduing the mount/dismount and balancing.

I can get mine done for about $45 a wheel... should I be worried about that price?

I had mine done for 40/wheel and it came out great. Much better than I expected.

did that include stripping? If so, thats a great price. It costs $25/wheel just to get them stripped here in atlanta, and each wheel uses about $10 worth of powder, $20 if its a 2 coat color.

can any of you give me a guess on how much weight this would add to a wheel? i don't really know how powdercoating works.

less than a pound for all 4 wheels combined.
