Default 255/40/17 on all 4's - ramifications?

Anyone running this setup on the track? If so what have you experienced handling wise? What about the electronics, any problems here? This seems to be a good cost effective track solution but I want to know what I'm getting into before going this route. Thanks in advance.

apharmdb,

Check the post on the question of 18x8, 18x9...

Several of us are running same size all around with no issues. I'm running 18x9, 35mm offset, 265/35 tires. Awesome road or track combo. No rubbing issues and no VDC issues. Minor speedo change but hardly noticeable.

255/40R17 sounds like a good and inexpensive track combo, especially if you have lightweight wheels. (I almost went this way too, but I just wanted to keep one set of wheel diameters).

I ran this set-up last weekend with Toyo RA-1's and there was no problems. I turned the tcs off and couldn't tell you that I had done anythig different.
