Question YoKo ES100 Question ????

Hi,

I am thinking about getting some Yoko AVS ES100 to replace the RE040. I don't want to spend too much money. I would like to know just how much better can I expect the Yoko to be when compared to the RE040 in terms of Steering response, Dry stickyness, wet handling, and noise.

My RE040 has only 10K miles on them (~65% tread left) and yet they will loose traction and the VDC would engage prematurely even will moderate throttle input. Will the Yoko solve this problem ?

Can someone please tell me how much better the Yoko would be (Steering response, Dry stickyness, wet handling, and noise). Thanks

I had these as my 3rd or maybe it was my 4th set of rear tires, for the money they are ok, sidewalls arent as stiff as the Bridgestones RE040's or S03's, but then again I havent found any tire with sidewalls as stiff. Ive pulled 2.0 60ft's on all my street tires so imo they are all decent, I don tspend 200+ for Bridestones or Eagle F1's anymore....IMO, for an even better deal Id recommend the Falken tires that www.discounttiredirect.com sells, they have a few different kinds in our sizes, I have tried both the St115 and the other ones I dont remember the model, but they are great for the money and last long.

not sure about the z sizes but on the miata message boards, toyo t1-s's, falken azenis, and kumho mx's are the most popular upgrades. i had the t1's on my miata and they handled nicely, 3 track days and spirited street driving. got noisy when they wore down to the wear bars though, but i think all tires do. fwiw, i've heard the yoko es100's aren't as good as the yoko avs's they replaced.
