Anyone tried Dunlop Direzza DZ101 tires?
I know this thread is nearly a year old, but since I happen to have a bit of experience with the tires I'll throw in my pennies just in case anyone search up this thread.
I had these tires on my previous car, an Integra GSR. They were incredibly low in price, but performed like tires that costs 20-40% more. Very good in wet, VERY VERY GOOD in dry, VERY VERY sticky traction. The sidewall is especially hard, these were used as drift tires in Japan drift competitions which explains the hardness of the sidewall. Because the sidewall is hard, when making quick cuts on the street, you will not have that "roll" feeling that softer-sidewalled tires give you.
These are very confidence-inspiring tires. And they also give you alot of forewarnings as you approach the adhesion limit.
I see that they now have these tires in the Z's stock 18's tire size. I will be slapping these Direzzas on once I get my hands on a set of Track rims

I saw these tires on sale at Sam's Club for $559 for all four 18" tires. I don't know how cheap they are to install there, and I have no clue how trustworthy they are to not screw up my wheels.
Pretty good tire. I have them on my G35 coupe. I bought them from tire rack for being very economical/cheap with good tread ware. Very good in dry conditions, fair traction when the road is wet. I do go to the drag strip occasionally and light them up. I have about 20k on these tires and the rears are ready to be replaced while the fronts have some life left on them. I'll probably buy another set.
I ended up getting these tires and have been very happy with them. Have about 5k miles on them so far and they still lok and perform like new. Good ride, low noise, decent grip and communitive to driver input. I'm sure they aren't as good as others, but for the price, they can't be beat and they are capable beyond my driving skill, so they're good for me.

they're a ultra high performance tire. if thats what you want then thats a fine choice. but as for me i settle for nothing less than max summer...
if on a budget kumho mx, hankook z212 (bang for buck hands down), falken rt615. if budget is no concern: michelin pilot ps2, bridgestone potenza s03, goodyear gsd3, advan ad07, potenza re01r.. in no particular order
this is a performance car i like performance tires on it... theres no point upgrading to aftermarket big brake kits or buying the brembo optional kits from nissan if you're going to run on tires that won't help stop the car... as well as max summer tires

I was on a budget when I got my dunlops and wanted something with decent performance that would last a while and they've been good; no complaints. My next set will be the Falkens.
I ran Dunlops on my old car. Very nice price and a good alternative to the Falken Azenis RT215s that aren't made anymore (the RT615 replaced them and are much more costly). The weren't quite as sticky as RT215s but did the job very well. Good adhesion and easily limit identifiable. Also pretty decent (in comparison to RT215s which sucked) in the rain.
I'd buy em for any sport compact, but not necessarily for a Z. I just bought Toyo T1-Rs

I'm not sure I understand the negative comments above. The difference between max and ultra high performance are subtle at best depending on the brand, compound and tread pattern. Honestly, I put these tires through a few pretty hard turns, and feel they perform just as well as the OEM tires Nissan puts on if not better. It's also currently raining, so I tried the tires out at a few corners where the old RE040 would continually allow the slip light to come on under wet conditions, and this didn't happen with the Dunlops. Sometimes price doesn't make the tire.
