I recently bent one of my 20" rims in a huge hole on the shoulder of the road in my town. I have hit a few pot holes with my rims and no damage was done but this one wasn't a pot hole it was a HOLE. I was wondering since most w/ 19's are running about the same tire size as those with 20's (245/35 & 275/35)
Is it gonna make any difference in the chance of the rim bending if I down grade to 19's?????

Also what are the max tires sizes that have been on 19's without modification?
