I'm going from stock 17's to 18's.Will these wheels/tires work? Please be gentle...
I've been waiting for the time that the warranty was up and the tires needed replacing. Nissan has already replaced my front tires and re-aligned the car. 8K later same deal. They said they would replace the tires again but then backed out. So now it's time to step up to the 18's and say goodbye to Nissan. It's time...
After a 360 on 85N last month (heavy traffic, heavy rain earlier, hydroplaned from standing water to left of fast lane, ended up in the far right lane, engine running, no accidents resulted, big adrenaline dump) and a shredded tire/fishtail yesterday(couldn't hear the flat over the freakin' tire roar, smaller adrenaline dump) I'm a little freaked now when I have to drive in the rain (so performance of the tire is a concern in wet weather.)
I've done some research on tire and wheel sizing. My decision is based upon the balance of performance, visual and cost. I love the Volks but no way at $800 per rim. Now I know just enough to be dangerous so I'm hoping for some feedback, especially if the selections are wrong!! I'm planning on ordering them tomorrow since it will take several day to get them in and I need the car by next weekend.
I found these at Discount Tire Direct. The total package is $1328, free shipping (and install? not sure) with 90 days same as cash.
