on most dampers you can't. On the Cusco, the damper in the rear is threaded as well as the rear spring perch (although I have not played with the adjustment on the damper yet). All we did was drop the car another 1/2 inch on the rear via the perch, thus increasing the preload. To compensate, we then lowered the front a bit too, which brought the back up slightly, and it worked like a charm

What I found is that after the front end suspension was pulled down and refitted I adjusted the settings that are supplied from Japan. Comparing this to the US specs the car required the front spring perch to be lowered an additional 12mm. After lowering the front end and stiffening the rear dampers it resolved some of my issues.

After the height re-adjust these are my current alignment settings.

Front camber 2.0
Front castor 8.0
Toe total out 2mm

Rear camber 2.0
Total toe in 4mm

The reason I have a bit of toe out on the front is to give a bit of weight in the steering wheel as when I had 0 toe it felt wishy washy.

I still don't understand, is the cusco rears independent like the teins? The car sits on the springs not the dampers so if you needed to lower the rear you would of done this by the spring and not the damper. To increase preload you need to compress the spring and in turn will lift the car. In the attached image which is similar to front setup I have labelled what I think the components do.

Correct me please if I’m wrong

Cheers,
Michael

I've been looking for a place that will help me completely tune my suspension, corner balance, sways bars, toe, camber, and caster. I think this is always the missing link once you have so much vested into your suspension. By any chance does anyone know were the closest most qualified place would be? (i'm in pittsburgh pa) had the car corner balanced but, the place i took it to just charged me to use their scales and give me pointers. I'm def not happyl, for some reason the weight is balanced but ride height is uneven.?? boohissboo

It is common when it has been corner weighted that the ride height will be different at each corner.

I hope you corner weighted the car with you in it.
