Default Opinions on Kumho Tires:

I was just curious on what peoples opinions were on the Kumho ECSTA ASX tires compared to the stock, better worse? or are they just crap tires? From other reviews I have looked at they are better than the stock 350z tires however I was curious of what the oppinions of people who drove 350z's were.

i have some but they're 255/45/18, i like them but i mainly got them because i had to drive my z in the winter and there was a huge difference in traction in cold weather/light snow. the performance seems at least as good if not better then stock and extremely better for winter... i only have them on the rear though. i got a winter vehicle now so i think i'm going to go back to 245/45/18 summer tires because i think the extra diameter (27" tall vs 26.7" tall i think) is slightly slowing me in acceleration.

I got a set for my Spec V, and after driving on them I really liked them.

Very quiet on the highway, and on the autocross course -- well lets just say that my competitors are glad that I got rid of the car and tires (over 2 sec faster than 2nd on a 50-second course).

I'm going to get a set for the Z before winter comes -- maybe even before mid-September (Topeka)...

The rain handling on the ASX's is amazing! Even when sliding (intentionally) on a rainy night on the wet black-top the tires actually made noise in their struggle to grip. (Rare on other tires we have ran.)
