!!HELP!! Wheel Test-Fit unsuccessful
I tried test fitting my rims today, and ran into some issues in the front. I've got a 2003 G35c w/stock Brembos, rotors, suspension.
There is this "****" that sticks out of the rotor between two of the lug bolts. It's got a bolt at the end of it, and overall length is about 2/3 the length of the lug bolts. I can't get the rim on because the hub of the rim is hitting this "****" thing. Has anyone else run into problems with this? What's the purpose of that "****?"
I'm trying to figure out what do do, whether to cut that piece off, or maybe notch a section of the hub on the rim? Hopefully this makes sense to someone...

You have to take your new wheels to a a machine shop and have them drilled out. I know this sucks, but that's the only solution.
Nah......just remove the bolt. It's to keep anyone from putting the rear wheels on the front by mistake.
Actually I did search multiple queries, but came up w/nothing. I know my post count on here is low, but I'm an old Maxima.org OG...just new to the Z/G scene.
Anyways, I really appreciate the quick responses. If I take that bolt off, does the cylinder part (that goes between the bolt and the rotor) come right off too? It looked like it was part of the rotor?

When I looked at it, it seemed like it was part of the rotor, cast in one piece. Sounds like it comes right off when your remove that bolt then? Perfect...time to order tires then...thanks for the help guys...
You need to improve your searching skillz if you didn't find anything. Normally the post is just like this one saying "HELP CAN'T INSTALL MY WHEELS" or "WHEEL INSTALLATION PROBLEMS". When in reality the title should read "I AM TOO AFFRAID TO GET OUT MY 10MM SOCKET AND TRY TAKING THIS BOLT OFF CAUSE THE CAR MIGHT FALL APART". It is a simple bolt and a spacer. You remove the bolt that holds the spacer in place with a 10mm socket and you are done. At least this guy didn't start grinding on his $4000 HRE wheels like someone I seem to remember.
take it easy, he comes from .org's searching feature. hahaha.
I took my bolts off just because I planned on doing aftermarket later and I already had the wheels off. Figured they wouldnt be rusted on if I took them off now

I'm sure I've done much more work on my own car/s than many of the @sses in this thread...but whatever...every "newbie" needs some hazing I guess. Appreciate the info and quick replies from everyone. Thanks fellas...
