Default Avon 500 Summer Tires

I ordered the Avon Tech M500 Summer Tires in 245/40WR-18 and 275/40WR-18 yesterday after work (around 1:30 or so) and when I came home today hidden behind my garbage cans were the four new tires. Overnight shipping on four tires for $44.04??? The Tire Rack rocks!

Very unusual tire pattern. I will post later how I like them once I get them mounted. They are going on my Kazera KZ-As that I had the same sizes of ContiExtremeContacts A/S.

I love mine...they have plenty of grip for everyday driving(they are certainly not Toyo's or BFG's), but they are very quiet and "well-mannered". If I wanna get crazy, I'll throw on the VictoRacer's...but for everyday these tires are great. I definetly think you'll enjoy them

I was looking at getting the Avon 550 All Seasons, because they have high ratings on Tirerack. Isn't Avon is a performance division of Cooper Tire in the UK?

Thanks for the input. Intend to get the Avon 550 A/S for my stock rims if I like these. Will use the stocks for those nasty winter months here (Jan,Feb,Mar).

I hate them. They are the worst handling tires I have ever owned. The sidewalls are very soft.

I have the all season avons on my other car and they work great in all conditions. They are on the heavy side for a tire but they are a good price.
