Default Volk fitment issue

Hey guys, i just got a set of the volk sf challenges in and i am having a problem with the fitment. The rims match up perfectly with the car but for some reason the rims cannot fit over the rods for me to get the lug nuts on them, when it is compared to my stock wheels, it seems that my stock wheels have bigger wholes than the volks and thus would be my problem. That is the obvious part or at least it seems to be. My question is that is this a normal thing or is there a problem with my rims in Example wrong fitment etc. Also can i safely drill the wholes about 1/16th bigger and ride on it safely. Any feedback would be great thanks guys.

The studs in the front wheels that he's referring to are to keep people from rotating the stock rear wheels to the front. Take those studs out and they should fit fine.
