they are... the car sat through a huge thunderstorm while I was working on the wheels in the garage. I hadn't moved the car after the storm so the rotors developed a light coating of rust.

SimplyJ,
It looks like my Volk GT7's are destroyed so I'll be doing the same thing to them probaly in the next week. Do you have any tips? I was researching another thread and someone recommended starting off with 300grit sandpaper and working my way up. I made a huge mistake by using this wheel cleaner I bought from the store one day and didn't realize it contained acid. The stuff did wonders on the insides of my rims and made them look brand new but the polished lip was another story. All 4 lips on my GT7's are pretty horrible looking. I tried 2 different polishes and neither did a thing so it looks like I'll need to refinish them.
