245/35 275/30 Tires ok?
Ive heard some stuff like this offset will throw off the TCS and make it constantly read "slip". I know a few ppl, including my friend who has the same exact setup, and no problems. But iam curious on some people takes on this.
I went to discount tire to pick up some tires for my truck and started BS'n him about the Z and stuff, then asked how much for tires out of curiousty, and he tells me that, (will throw off TCS on that offset).
Is this true? Or does that discount guy just not know jack.

I just asked that question about 2 weeks ago, and since then, I have ordered my rims, and tires with 275/30/19 in the rear, and 245/35/19 in the front. The rims will be put on by Friday, so I will let you know further more from there. A lot of people on this site are running that setup with no problems though, and IMO the 30 looks alot nicer because its so low profile.

Ya i know alot of ppl are running that, but i was curious to why that discount tire guy was so sure that it would mess with the TCS... is he just misinformed?
Even though i will be buying 275/30 for sure.. i was just curious of some peoples PERSONAL inputs. So ya let me know when you get it on.

I laugh my a$$ off everytime I see somebody using a 30 series profile on the rear and a 35 in front. Sure ya can use a 275/30 series in the rear and a 245/35 in the front but your overall diameter of the front will be LARGER than the rear right off the bat. It is totally noticable and looks like crap and is the total opposite of how your tires should be set up.
As your rear tires wear out maybe as much as 50% quicker than your fronts, your front tires diameters will become even larger in comparison with the rears and will look REALLY stupid after a few thousand miles.
If you are going to insisit on using a 30 series in the rear. I strongly recommend using a 235/35 in the front which will give you a slighly smaller overall diameter. That will still be too big in comparison to the rear, especially since you can't rotate the wheels but it would be better/closer than a 245/35.
Another option is try using a 245/30 which is a paper thin tire or if your rims are a 8.5" width use a 255./30. The 255/30 will give you a little more cushon than the 245/30 but not much and would be about 1/2" smaller OD than the 275/30 rear which is close enough. Ideally your fronts should be .5"-1.0" (3/4" is perfect) smaller OD than your rear, unless you are running the same tire sizes on all 4 corners, then you can just rotate the tires/wheels as they wear, though there are not many people with Z's that do that tho there is at least one guy in here that does. I wouldn't though
The only other viable option if you really really REALLY want to run a 275/30 so bad is to use 20" rims.

it is said that if you go outside of the accepted stagger range, you will have vdc/tcs problems, but if you have a base model, np. i've seen ones with the smaller sidewall in back and personally, i don't like the look. it detracts from the zcar's aggressive stance, imo.
