Default Random Question On Tire Size

Ok I saw a artical with the Top Sec 350z (reg kit not wide body) running 245/35/19 Front and 275/30/19 Rear .... why run a 35 profile on the fronts and a 30 on the rear? .... they are also not the only ones doing that I have seen it a few times on tunners cars.

Right now on my racing harts im running 245/35/19 Front and 275/35/19 Rear ... so why drop the rear to a 30? Is it for looks? or due to lowering?

Any one have any ideas????

this will keep the sidewall height about the same
ie: 35% of 245mm = 85.7mm
ie: 30% of 275mm = 82.5mm (35% of 275mm = 96.2mm)-much wider sidewall

the "thinner" the side wall, the less tires flex you'll see when you take corners.
more sidewall, the more the tires "float" around on the rims
also more likely to feel every little crack in the road since there's less cushin between you & the road
