changing car colors doesn't seem to work for me. wheels change fine.


Am I the only one who doesn't like the rivot look around the outter edge of the wheel?

This is where we are today. The problem with all group buys is that everyone is waiting for everyone else. That being the case you never reach your goal.

The key is for those who are actually buyers to get the orders going. If the people who were sent quotes commit we are at 9+ already. I also have not seen a lot of new requests coming for quotes. Everyone interested needs to contact me directly to get the formal quote.

Here is my status:

I will return to the USA on Jan 6th. I have scheduled to tour the HRE factory Jan 8th. I am going there because i want to see which finish (ie brushed etc) I want to order. I am debating between 445's and 545's too. I think me seeing the wheels in person will make it easier to decide. I will be taking my digital camera with me. If any of you want pics of a particular thing, let me know. i will shot a picture or ask the question you want answered.

It looks like I will be ready to place my order after the Jan 8th tour. How about the rest of you? Have to lost interests, undecided, or changed your mind? Maybe you are still planning on ordereing them, if so, let us know where you stand. What you decide cost me money so I am interested....

If we get 1/2 of the quotes out there now we are close to the 8 number.

As a side note - after this group buy, the 2003 HRE prices will take affect. These will be about 5% higher than the prices we used to price the GB.

After the 15th the new prices at HRE will go into effect.

Everyone... Paul (Avalon Racing) has been great at answering all my questions on a very timely basis. In short my position is as follows:

I cannot find any other wheel that even compares to the HRE's. No other three piece addresses my demands for quality, custom offsets, weight, and most importantly looks. However...I am struggling with the issue of cost...even with this very good group buy pricing. Even at the highest level discount I don't believe I would be able to justify the cost of the brushed aluminum which is what I really want. To settle for less...well, I might as well settle for a totally different wheel. So, in conclusion I am holding my final decision until Jeff gets his tour of HRE. His digital pics will carry a lot of weight for me. My can be counted as VERY interested...but as of yet uncommitted. Check in here everyone and give us an update on your status so we can all get a better feel for where we may stand as a group.

 

I'm waiting on the pics from Jeff before I decide, but when I get a chance I will go ahead and send my request to Paul as well.

Remember to get a quote the data needs to come to me. Then you will get a formal quote.

It is imperative to get your deposiuts in if you are a true buyer. This way we have a better picture of the final discounts.

One thing that kind of turned me off from the brushed finish is that the lip isn't clearcoated. (At least that's what I understand).
