Gram lights wheels really lighter?
Does anybody know how much does Ray's Gram light wheels weight in 18" and 19"? In particular the 57S-pro.
Are they lighter compared to wheels such as Volk's TE37's, SF-series or the GT-series. I was curious because they are suppose to be a light weight concept wheel and because I haven't seen many people put these wheels on their Z.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

I think they are not even close to forged VOLK weights.
For instance the 57Spro in an 18x9.5 weigh 25.0 lbs
The 57S (non pro) in the same size weigh 22.5 lbs
The 57C (non pro) same size five spoke weigh 22.0 lbs
I got these numbers from the tirerack website, they did not list the weight for the 57Spro though.
So it seems the only thing "Light" about Gram Lights is the name. I really wanted the 57S but I want light weight even more.

lightest wheels rays make are forged magnesium, something like 12lbs for 18x9.5

I noticed too, the ony forged rims in this series is the 57F. And we all assume forged rims should be lighter than cast rims. I guess it's all marketing.
Also when I looked at the price, I wondered. They are cheaper than other Volks! Shouldn't the lighter they get the more difficult they are to make. The logical conclusion would be they should be more expensive. Like the MAG TE37's and Nismo LM GT MAG (for the R34 GTR), they are close to doubling the normal TE37's in price!

Its common knowledge in the import community(at least those that know their wheels) that Gram lights are not that light. Monoblock forged volks are lighter.....te37, le28's, etc. I had the le28n's on my Evo

Does anyone know the weight and price of the gramlights 57C precisely?
Instead of the gramlights cast wheels, a good alternative might be the 5Zigen FN01RC. It's a great track wheel, cheap, great fitment and relatively light and durable. A nice 18x8.5, 18x9.5 set can be bought for ~$1K (around 250$ per wheel).
I am considering buying a set of these for the track.
21.5lbs front and 22.5lbs rear I think... pretty good for a cast wheel

I have 57cs and they are not the lightest wheel out there, but they are light compared to other brands, and hell of alot lighter than stock wheels. Without tires in 18" 9.5 should be around 22lbs and 8.5 around 21 lbs i beleive.
