The car sits like M car, a 911, a ferarri 360, etc.......lets not make it look like a HONDA freakin CIVIC. WHat is the goal, a POS civic wannabe or a ferarri?? Just a thought.
If you are gonna race the thing, FINE make it a race car, otherwise, follow our exotic friends and NOT the DARK SIDE (this car is too good for that)!!!!
I guess it all comes down to personal preference, I like the look of the wheels just heigher than the wheel wells on the 350Z.
I agree the 911 and modena look great stock, but they are a totally different design. The Z IMO has pretty big wheel wells that need filling.

Ive had it for about 2 weeks now!

By the way, the stock sensors do work. They work on mine!
a couple questions:

did you just epoxy the sensor to the middle of the wheel? it is a 90 degree valve on the wheel...

also, did you get the same sizes, offsets, types, and faces as i did?

thanks.

I saw the beast today and it is f**king BAD ***! Sitting next to my stock Touring, the difference in look and impression was as similar as lining up a bone-stock 996 C2 with a fully-loaded 996 TT. After all that Michael's done to this car, I have no doubt that after the NISMO kit goes on it will be one of the slickest Zs in the country if not THE slickest Z period.

Smile CS Track with Volks

I got diffrent offsets in the rear, not so much for the look, but for the performance. I wanted the tire to be centered in the wheel wel.

Not as deep as yours.

Same widths and tires.

I will try to post the pics on my site soon and provide a link then.

offset has little to do with how deep the wheel is. for instance, txstyle has 3" lip like me, but his offset is over +10mm more.

are you sure your rear wheels are face 2? when i looked at the pic again, they appear to be face1.

Wink

r his wheels as wide as yours, or wider?

offset has everything to do with how deep the wheels lip is.

My front lip is about 2 1/4" and rear is about 2 3/4"
Not quite 3".

my rear offset is 10mm more than yours. Thats why my lip is 10mm less. (we both have the same width rears)

Answers to your questions:
"did you just epoxy the sensor to the middle of the wheel? it is a 90 degree valve on the wheel..."

No, and NO.

The valve is the stock valve with the sensor.

"are you sure your rear wheels are face 2? when i looked at the pic again, they appear to be face1."

And Yes the rear is a face 2.

No, and NO.

The valve is the stock valve with the sensor.
each gt-c wheel comes with its own valvestem. it is a 90 degree valvestem, this is because the port in the wheel for the valve is on the inside of the hub, behind the face. the supplied valvestem is used to get the nozzle to the front of the face, where it is more accessable.

the stock valvestem is actually connected to the pressure sensor, and is straight.

when looking at them both, i thought the stock valvestem would have to be mounted oriented top-bottom, rather than left-right like on the stock wheel. this made me concerned as the depth of the pressure sensor was too great and might get smashed.

so, you did not use the supplied valvestems? and if you didnt, your valve stem should be perpendicular to the road, as opposed to parallel like on the stock wheel?

please explain more if i do not have it right.. thanks!

I did not use the 90 deg. valve stems.
Yes my stems are oriented the way you describe.
They are easy to get to since the wheel is so large

And if i have a blowout im F*^KED!!

But the pressure moniors work well in any position, according to the tech at nissan.

I like that feature.

Question:
Does your car feel smoother now with the larger wheels?
mine does, its weird, because i thought it might be bumpier.
What pressures are you running? & How do you like it?

Thanks

wow, you are brave for that sensor setup!!

since i put the wheels on , i have not driven for more than 10minutes per trip. some have said without the sensors, the low-pressure warning light (in the instrument cluster) will light up after about 20min. this to tell you that its not getting signal...

if mine does light up, i will pull the bulb... no sense in telling me something i know

i am running about 38-40psi cold. this is because during the winter, the hot psi is about 42-43psi which is what i like.

also, i didnt notice a difference in smoothness, as i have not put even 50miles on the car. i will let you know more later
