What size 17" wheels and tires?

So I happen to like the way my car rides and looks with 17s and I don't have plans of going to BBK.
Roads suck, including ones I drive hard on, and I like having enough sidewall to protect my rims and the lower cost of tires is a good thing too, considering it looks like I am only going to get 15k per set.
So I like the Advan RGII

My issue though is finding sizes that work well for the Z in 17"s.
For instance the 350zmotoring site has a table of tire sizes but sizes they list in 17" are rare or don't exist. So sizes need to be common enough that I can buy replacements.
It looks like 255-275/40-17 is .80 inch shorter than stock so they might look small, 255/275/45-17 don't seem to exist.
Then there are the 245/255/45-17 option, plentiful and cheep compared to bigger tires and at only .18 and .21 inch smaller diameter than stock it should be pretty close.
What width rims are best with what size tires? (any pics)

has a decent selection of 17-inch wheels and tires. When you select the wheel and “bundle” it with a suitable tire, it will give you options for appropriate tire sizes.
