Default Do wheel spacers affect ride negatively?

Just as the title says. I need wheel spacers and I'm pretty sure I'm going to order the H&R trak+ spacers from Performance Nissan. I'm just curious if there is anything I should know before I do it, and if they will effect my ride in a bad way at all. Thanks

Keep us updated on what ya find out.

I too am going to be ordering a pair of the H&R spacers from them as well in a few weeks, along with my Hotchkis Springs, PC'r and polished intake tube. . I'm going to use either a 10MM or 15MM for the rear end only. I was thinking of maybe using a 5mm on the front but I think even a 5mm will push them out too much for what I'm after, so just rear ones for me. I just want to push the rears out about 1/2" on each side.

I'm just going to use them until I get My Hiro's in late Spring next year, unless I fall in love with the Anniversary wheels, which I doubt.

Not that I know of. Widening the stance of the car is good. Wider is better.

On a negative note, anytime that you move the wheels OUT, you put addition strain on suspension components.

Based on those sizes you will likely need extended wheel studs which means alot more work. Good luck!

That would be the same with wheels with a lower offset then but there are no complaints out of any of the people putting aftermarket wheels on the 350Z / G35...

As long as the spacers are Hub-Centric like the H&R Spacers you do not have to worry the same problems you have with regular cookie cutter spacers...

basically hubcentric means that everything is lined up correctly. you dont want an "egg" shaped spacer rotating with every turn of the tire. if you add that up onto 70+ mph then you have a vibrating car, and a very unsafe car.

i got the spacers from H&R and they are great. i even went with the biggest ones, the 25mm. so big in fact they have their own studs, and just bolted onto the original studs. not a single problem.

What my sizes?

I know I need to have longer studs put in but it's not like I'm going to do the work

No, I will give it a shot but my patience isn't what it use to be. It's only 2 wheels so it shouldn't be (knock on Giant redwood) hard.

hey jason, I've been considering getting some spacers for my wheels

are these on your site the best option?
http://performancenissanparts.com/ca...roducts_id=385

or is there something else I should be thinking of getting that'd be better?

BTW, is there any risk of the wheel coming off these more so than stock?

Chad68, yes your sizes. Don't get me wrong, it'll look much better. Just wanted to let you know it's more work (or more labor cost) than most think. I know from experience.

Yea I don't look foreward to messing around with removing then installing new studs but it's about $2,200 cheaper than new rims and tires Then I can spend all that money I saved on gas!! Hmmm and maybe a Nismo exhaust

I'm just going to put them on when I paint the brakes, So I can get all of my swearing and throwing of hand tools and kicking peoples cats and dogs out of my system all at once

Just kidding, so don't send Bob Barker any e-mails about me.
