figured nobody used these since they were All Season. Was just hoping they would offer maybe slightly worse performance in dry but better wet/slight snow traction. Also give better ride quality and longer tire life............... But i dont want to sacrifice TO much dry traction (especially handeling!)

If you get them, post back and let us know what you think. I looked at the Tirerack review of those against Goodyear RS-A's, and they seemed to be close in a lot of categories. I had RS-A's on my GTP, and was less than pleased, although there are a lot of different speed ratings for that tire.

I got the Tech M500, They are very sticky anything but a high RPM clutch drop they just sticks, just a chirp on the one two power shift. Also sticks when the road is wet too. Time for a new suspension and LSD to stop wheel lift and spinning when accelerating on tight turns, no more understeer. BTW Avon has been making tyres in england and are the brand that come on a lot of bri and now just began to send car tyres over, there motorcycle tyres have selling here since the 70's. Price is real inexpensive because they trying to break into the US market.

My father put them on his boxster recently. They are incredible tires. They stick pretty well, have excellent steering response, and they are super smooth and quiet. Pretty impressive tires for the price.
Keep in mind that he had Bridgestone S0-3's on there before the Avon's and we both agree that these are an IMPROVEMENT over those in terms of price/performance.

Don't know what you are running, but I have had the Tech M500's on for about a month, they are not sticky, they slip, I do have a tt kit, have the 275's on the rear, and they for sure slip. I call them the opposite of sticky. My all season Continental Extreme Contacts were better at preventing slip. I am less than satisfied, although the price was good, they do not perform, they are not from England, they are made here, I think, (don't know) Tire Rack bought the name to use here on a low cost line.
After my experience with the M500's I will not be buying the A/S Avons, I will look for another brand.
