I have a slight clearance problem on my driveway. I want to get 19" wheels and I'm wondering if 275/40/19 or 285/35/19 will fit in the rear and not rub. What about 245/40/19 for the front. these tires should give me about 1/2 to 3/4" ride height increase which will take care of the scraping in my driveway. Or do you have any recomendations?

fix the driveway don't mess up the car .... actually I have a problem with your plan for a couple of reasons .... it's basically the way you are figuring the ride height change ...
#1.) 285/35-19 = 26.8" ... .1" taller than OE which will give you .05" more ground clearance .... not alot there but, if you use that size you will need a 255/35-19 front tire size for a correct stagger which is very aggressive for the car (not good)
#2.) 275/40-19 = 27.7" ... 1.0" talle than OE which would give you an additional .5" of ground clearance but it would hurt the acceleration of the car and adversely effect handling especially when you consider the front tire size you would need (245/40-19)
a couple of things to try:
drive into the driveway at and angle ...
back into the driveway (this is what I do) ...
