Default Question about sidewall height

My G35C is equipped with 225/45 F/ 245/45 R stock. I am thinking about running a 40 series tire on the front theels (225/40/18"). Will this throw off the speedometer & odometer (and if so by how much)? Also where is the VSS located on the 350Z/G35? Thanks!
