Default Wheels for poor people

With all the talk of Volks and other $500 plus wheels how does the other end of the price spectrum hold up? Im stilll looking for some decently styled, modestly light weight wheels for the Z when it comes in, but for $300 or under. So far the Enkei RPM2 fit the bill but im not much for the dark mesh. Then I also saw these Fittipaldi Force Wheels. They are a split 5 spoke with some lip on them. They come in 18x8.5 and 20, 35, or 38 offsets and weigh 22lbs. A tad better than the stockers except for the Rays, and it sure beats 30lb modas or SSR GT3s. They ring in for $260 at discount tire. Here some pics.

Opinions? anyone else have any other wheels to add to the list?

You get what you pay for. Those are some cheap looking wheels. You're only going to buy wheels for your Z once. Do it right the first time. DTD have some of the poorest chioces in wheels I've ever seen. When it comes to the look of your car don't go bargain basement...save and get something that will make you say "I'm glad I got these". If you're really thinking about those why not get the factory rays and see if you could do a trade in. I can deal with a lot of things but ugly wheels will never grace my Z. By the way those DO NOT look better than the wheels you mentioned...especially the GT3's. Not even in the same league.

I like my base 17s better than those, the style looks out of date

I like these F-1s from Allesio instead, they are about $180 for 18' and $230 for 19s

Funny enough I don't think they look that bad....and I'm a solid spoke kind of guy. Certainly are inexpensive...but I can't say anything about their quality...I know nothing about them. I don't really care for how the lip isn't polished, however.

I dig 'em. I think they would look sharp on a new Z.

Can anyone photoshop these onto a sunset Z
I love these Alessio F1 but would like to see how they look on the car. I also can't afford Volks!

Those wheels are nice, but unless I missed something, there are no 18" that would be a good fit for the Z.

Take a look at the 5Zigen Copses and the 5ZR's.. They're both gorgeous wheels, AND the 5ZR comes in 19"!

so far, the 17" rims have been the most inspiring rims on the Z33 yet. Even you guys that sprung for the rays musy admit that you cant HATE the stock 17's.

2003Z- What size are those rims? I have always loved BBS and was originally looking into getting a set for my Z. However knowing the price advantage of Enkei might change my mind. Also if you dont mind how much did they cost you?

got them in atlanta at Kaufman Tire.

Specs from enkei website:
HyperBlack 18 x 8 17.5 lbs $459.99
HyperBlack 18 x 9 18 lbs $489.99

Fractionally lighter than the Track Rays, and I paid 270 for the 18x8s and 300 for the 18x9s. PSI monitors fit them with no problems also.

I like them in 17s just fine and have no plans to change them. They are nice and 7 spokes are lucky in Chinese cosmology. At least the number is, don't know about wheels.

May be the price is right for your wallet, but as I stated previously for some guy trying to get them "they are very plain looking so no love there"
