OK, need a bit of feed-back here as I am unsure what to do. Here is the deal:

Nissan dealership called me up today and have offered me to swap my OE rims and tyres for a set to be provided by Nissan Japan. They will fit and balance them and take away my OE rims. What I have to do is to run these tyres for two years and will have to periodically go for check-ups etc.

Apparantly, Nissan Japan are running tests, for the 350Z, on the tyre and rim wear/performance in the Middle East. At the end of two years, I will get a Brand New set of rims and tyres.

So, what do I do? I can have free ripping of tyres and rims for two years with no problem if I kerb them or anything, I can basically thrash the tyres to bits

OR

say NO, as I already have changed my rims to 19" rims, so I would lose the "look good" factor ( I have not sold my OE rims and tryes yet). I could also get my badly kerbed rims repaird and run them whenever I liked?

thats exactly what I am trying to find out, plus, what rims will be in existence in 2 years time?

You never know, in 2 years, it could be these, if the image is like what will actually be on the car!

I would find out more info... what kind of wheels, what kind of rims. Are there any other conditions (such as normal driving only? No thrashing? etc...)

Right now it is left too wide open for anything.....


I like the idea, but find out more info first.

They are doing the tests in the "middle east", Iran, Iraq or where?
