all depends on your offset and how much camber you currently are at

I am running 275/40/18 S03 on the rear of my car (18x9.5 +20),and it rubbed over every single bump. Never had rubbing with the T1S though.

last night I rolled the fenders, and will never rub again

Just got the 295's on. Will be going to get my fenders rolled. Also, I am going to have to remove the plastic shield around the fuel line cause i am rubbing that. Getting fenders rolled was not in the schedule for the weekend.

Oh well, next time i will get 285's again.

did the 295-30s and the 255-35s cause the slip light to come on?

without a ruler it oolks like the 295 30 is actually taller than the 255/35.

well 30% of 295 is 88.50
and 35% of 255 is 89.25

but if you haven't had slip light issues (esp. on curves), then i guess you're lucky.

After closer inspection while detailing my ride this morning.... I have concluded that I will stick with 275's. It is already a close fit and I don't want to have to modify my car any further. Oh well, that's still alot of rubber back there.

Sorry to hear about that Johnathan on your 295's. Good luck with that.

rubbing update: i was definitely rubbing the inside rear passenger wheel against the plastic shroud covering the lines to the gas tank. After removing the shield, I have not rubbed anymore. there is no evidence of rubbing on the fender. I am going to get them rolled anyway but now there is less urgency. This is good since the closest place to me that can do it is about 45 minutes away.

push the gas hard next time you are in a corner or rev it up and dump your clutch, you will see the slip light.

I got the fenders cut for the 285's. The tires were rubbing initially in hard bumps and cornering.

10.5" and +23 offset

I think it will rub even more unless you have significant negative camber.

Get the fenders cut or rolled definitely.
