Personally I think these are real wheels.

They look good, but i agree, how do you clean em? all that dust will be on the back side. Also, those brakes can get pretty how in there with no ventilation on the brakes. Thirdly, doesn't look too sturdy to me. It'd be cool on a show car, but not for daily driving.

If there ever was such a thing, you would have to get a big brake kit just to keep from being embarrassed.

I think they're real because in looking at the one picture of the rear wheel you can see the exhaust pipe through the rim going out to the rear of the car. Some one has got to know where this rim came from.

Lots of ppl have invisible rims already. Just do a search for "black rims" and look at the photos ppl take.

I think its real. I've seen some custom choppers build wheels without spokes and it only grabs the lip of the wheel. Also, don't be so quick to jump on the photoshop band wagon, I remember reading a thread about a after market bumber and how every one thinks a photoshop and argue till their face turned blue, and it turns out that its actually a real bumber thats for sale.

Its also not that hard to build that invisble wheel, just take a thick pice of plexy glass or whatever, rivit them to the outter wheel, drill some holes for the lug nuts and you're done.

If it was made of plexiglass, that would be just about the most unsturdy wheel ever. Theres a reason why wheels are made of metals and not plastics

I agree, but some ppl do things for looks not performance. I'm just guessing on the plexiglass, I have no idea what it is.

Weird. It might be a chop, it might not.

Could be transparent aluminum.

Nope, download it and look at it close on a Photo Editor. The rim lines do not line up and the reflections are off.

Guys...I hate to say this, but I have a bachelors degree in computer animation, I have worked in the industry, and I have seen every single angle and every possible Photoshop trick out there and IMO the above picture is utterly and conclusively fake, as well as the others (though harder to tell.) Though not a bad idea......anyone want to go in business? Put some freakin neons in the spokes and you have a million dollar idea.

Even if these are fakes...it seems with todays high tech balistic materials someone should be able to make these. If nothing else...they'd be hot for a show car and you'd just mount them on the car at the show.

I bet every big brake kit company would buy a set or two so they could show off there kit's at trade shows like sema.
