Default Need help about RIMS!!

Does anyone know how rims work? I have a 2004 Nissan 350z and i just ordered a new IS 350 yesterday. I bought aftermarket rims for my Z about 1 year ago, they are 19" 5zigen Hyper 5ZR chrome rims. I was wondering if they would fit on the new IS. How do you know if you can switch rims with other cars? Please help!!

the bolt patterns have to be exactly the same and the offsets have to work on the new car...congrats, btw, should be a fun car...i doubt if the rear Z wheels will work on the IS...the IS seems to have a very positive offset, so i'm not sure if the rear wheels will work, probably not even the front wheels...they'll probably stick out on the sides

i believe the wheels will stick out, i tried stock rims 03 Z on an es300, bolt pattern is the same, but didnt look right, because of the very positive offset. But then again this is the es300, but i gather the es and IS shouldnt be that off
