Default Questions?

Please forgive my ignorance about tire and wheels but i would like to know if i can put 19in wheels on my 350z enthusiast. if so what modifications need to be done? I have been reading the forums but everyone says something different talking about spacers and different measurements, Is there someone I can call?

Bundy,

19" wheels are absolutely no problem...some guys are running 20's! It isn't the wheel size that really is under debate, it is the offsets that is getting so much attention. What you will get is a stiffer sidewall and accompanying characteristics if you stick with a tire diameter similar to stock with a larger wheel (which is recommended). Of course the main reason anyone would go to the 19's is mostly aesthetics and the preference for the low profile tire "look". Additionally what you do is limit your tire selection since there are fewer tires available in 19", but this selection is quickly expanding. You need to evaluate your priorities in order to decide on the wheel size. Most wheels that come in a 19" size also come in a 18 or 17 and depending on your application/use you can make your decision. 17's are a common wheel size for track use...18's are typically a happy medium without too much daily road discomfort or risk to damaging a wheel from potholes/curbs....and then the 19's and 20's which look incredible but are a rolling money hazard. Personally I'm shopping for 18's...but that is purely personal preference.

Good luck!
