Default Wheel balancing question.

If you have a wheel and tire balanced together, do they become unbalanced if you take the tire off the wheel and put it back on the same wheel. I am asking because I have a leak in my tire and want to get it repaired and want to make sure once they take the tire off and put it back on, if I have to get it balanced again.

Yes, have it balanced again. You also have to take into consideration the weight of the repair materials added to one spot of the tire.

If the bead of the tire is broken (removed to fix (patch) a tire) or somehow slips... a re-ballance is a must!
