Default stretched tire look, help!

Right now I have VOLK GTC's 19x9.5 +21 in front 19x10.5 +24 out back. I would like to run a tire setup that will give it a stretched look at the same time not bugging out VDC, can anyone share their info/pics if they went with this look?

Right now I'm thinking about 235/35 in front, 275/30 in the rears. Any info please?

Thanks

why would you want that look, it doesnt look good and it may not be good for the tires( some that know about this lets us know cause im not too sure if it messes up the tires..)

but just with looks alone. its not worth it IMO

but in the end its your ride and money.... lol

I’m lost on the “stretched” look also. Tires which are too small for the wheels has me scratching my head. Why would anyone want to ride on the sidewall? I must be out of touch with the latest trends.

Dont know why you want this look, but some 235/265 combo will give you this look. Get on a tire size calculator and find the correct sidewalls for those widths. Also some of the narrower tire manufacturer's you could run a 245/275 combo. BFG, and Bridgestone from my past experience seem to run wider, my BFG 285's look like others 295's. Falkens and Toyo's seem to look stretched in a 245/35 and 275/35 on a 9.5" and 10.5" set-up.

hey thanks man, yours is hotter, no I don't really care what others think, I was looking at my buddies Z today and he has the stretched look compared to my beffy 285's and from the back I really like how the 285's stand wider and that made me change my mind.

for "normal" stretch you can run 225-245 fronts and 245-265 rears. I'd run 235/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rear and dump it.

for "mega euro strech" look you should run 195-215 front and 215-235 rear... that would be HOT!!!

here's a 245/40/18 on a 18x10 wheel for reference

on page two of my cardomain (linked below) the Veilside wheels are 18x10 front with 215/40/18 and the rears are 18x12 with 235/4018

Oh okay I just wanted to put in my input since I thought your car looks great and didn't want people to skew your project

I agree - I love the way my car looks and if I do not see an immediate reason for more traction so I am happy where I am at. I have had many many people either love or hate the way the car looks in pictures - when you see it in person, its a different story.

What I think you should do is actually get our cars side by side and MAYBE even fit my wheels on your car to see how it will look.

does your friend have narrower tires...that will make it look wider because there is less room for the tire to expand onto

Look for pics of people running the Toyo T1-S in 245/35 and 275/35. Should give you the stretched look while keeping the tire inside manufacturer reccomendations for rim width.

Its funny how pictures are kind of decieving:
The General 265/30/19 have a section width of 10.4" and the tire is mounted on a 10.5" wheel rear. The 235/35/19 have a section width of 9.5" mounted on a 9.5" wheel front.

I'm running 275 out back on my 11". As long as the recommended manufacturer width is in spec with my wheel width, i'm happy.

I also seem to notice the drag racing gurus love to run 285+ out back and the drift peeps love to run stretched setups with very aggressive offset. Maybe the different type of motorsport comes into place with what tastes/preferences people have.

Go with a compromise. Try the BFG KDW-2's in a 245 and 275/35/19 with 9.5 and 10.5" rims. BFG has a bit more generous sidewall then most manufacturers. This will give you some stretch without looking tooooo stretched.
