WOW... i am sorry woodie
but 19's look nice and 20's are pretty damn hott.

hell have you seen some of the newer cars where u can put 22 and 24's on them ..
we arent in 1990. this is the year 2005/2006.. Most new cars come stock with 17/18 standard with tall tires.
to make a rim look nice we all need low profile..
and the only way to get low profile without messing up the speedometer is to go to a taller wheel

I'm thinking off getting the Volk TE Progressives in 19*9.5 up front and 19*10.5 in the rear, with +22 offset all around.

Now for my question...Will this combo fit the Z, if so what tires do you guys recommend?

I don't know about offset but as for tires, if you want real stretched look, go with 245-35-19's in the front and 275-35-19 in the rear. If you want normal look, go with 255-35-19 for the front and 285-35-19. With second option, you may loose some performance. The diameter of the tires are little higher.

If it was up to me, I would go with 255-35-19 for the front and 285-35-19 for the rear.

i went with 18.. this car is slow enough already and its been said over and over you can feel the difference when switching to 19's.. 19's look to big to ME but you have to choose what you want your car for (not that rim choice is only deciding factor) more show or go.. some one said in another thread if you go with bling go with 19 because bling rims look funny on 18's and i agree with that also.. i hesitated to move up from 17's so you know im on the other side of the playground when it comes to these things..

I love my 19" for both its looks and handling...... but

I am now thinking reverse engineering for both handling and looks ..

A staggered wheel setup .. Front 17x9.5 and Rear 18x10.5 -- with tires at Front 255/40R17 and Rear 265/35R18 -- as shown in the new prototype R-tune Z ..

For some reasons photos of 19's make the tires look like they're too skinny. But in real life it looks just right.

I wouldn't go 18's. I am 100% satisfied.

The Z has enormous wheel wells. It can really swallow large wheels!

I too was hesitant about 19's thinking they would be too big. Well I took the leap of faith with 19" Volk GTC's and the car looks fantastic. This car was made for 19's. Anymore than 19" and I would definitely hesitate but that is just my personal taste and opinion.

Good Luck

I think it comes down to the wheels you get as much as the size to be honest.

I drove another 350z recently with cheaper cast alloys that were 19" and it was horrid however i have volk CE28N 19" and they feel lighter than the stock 18" that i had they also grip alot better due to the extra width at the rear.

I guess what I would say is if you go for 19" wheels go for good quality.

I seem to be getting very convinced with the 19's. I'm leaning towards the Axis Milano rims (maybe)!!....if I go with Volk's...what Volk rim is similar to the Milano style? GT-C or some other?

I have no regrets. I am more for show on the Z as I don't race or track. The ride is a little rougher but not a big deal. Compared to stock my Z drives much better but I attribute that to the toyos.
