Default Bro's who bought 19's... are you sorry vs the 18's?

Well I'm still doing my research in buying my wheel set-up. Where I live there are very few of the after-market wheels on Z's. Furthermore there are not too many Z's on the roads in my area.
So it's been very hard for me to decide whether I want 18's or 19's.

What goes through my mind is that when I see a Crossfire with the 19's it looks ridiculous to me. The tires look too big for the car...in my view & I'm not sure if that's the right comparison to the Z.

I've seen many pics of the 18's & 19's but when you see something in person it makes the choice a lot easier.

So I would like to hear from anyone (if any) who has bought 19's and after having them for a while....not happy with 'em! Thanks!

I've got 19x10's in the front and 19x10.5 in the rear and I've loved them since day one.

Ride quality was only really affected when my tire psi was low, other then that lovin it....

When I first got my 19's on I felt like I was rolling around on cinderblocks compared to stock, but the look and handling difference was still worth it. Now Im so used to it it doesnt affect me anymore. I wouldnt change a thing. You really need to decide if you are going more for looks or performance...looks, only get 19's, performance, dont go bigger than 18

oh, and waaaaaaaaaay more important than rim diameter is correct offset and tire size to get the right "look". I have 15mm up front and 20mm in back

Depends. IMO 18's look too small if you got a big lip. Most people like the big lip on the rear and 19"s is the only thing that will look good with a bigger lip. If you go something like Nismo or Volk TE37's I think that 18's look fine, but I still prefer 19's. Being you have a Vert I doubt your into Auto X and racing a whole lot so I would go 19's. They do not look too big at all, infact they look perfect. I got 19x9.5 Front and 19x10.5 rear and I love them. Here's a pic. Also I would suggest a 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 for you. THe extra 1" really doesnt make a difference at all, and it would save you some money, I just went this route for show, I wanted a bigger lip and a bigger rim to offset the body kit im installing.

Also if you plan on a body kit FOR SURE get 19's cause 18's will look way too small if you add a kit.

19's all the way, just make sure you dont buy some cheapies, cause they tend to weigh a ton. Sterns for example, make great looking wheels but they weigh 30+ pounds each when it comes to 19 inch configuration. Thats more then your stockers. Stick with good forged 19's and youll stay at or weigh less then the stock 17's or 18's excluding the track wheels.

It all depends on the person. I live in Southern Cali and the roads out here are not smooth, to say the least...
I run 19s on my car, and it rides pretty nicely still. 19s look better on the Z IMO, but it all comes down to personal preference and the wheel in the end...

Here is my car with 19's

I like 18's but 19's are where it is at.
only issue is you have to be a little more aware of the roads around your area.
don't want to bend a wheel

I had 17's, 18's, and 19's. Track ****** like Rickdogg have a sexy set of street wheels, as well as lightweight track wheels. I on the other hand, cannot afford a change of shoes, so i ulitmately went with TE37 18's, so i can cruise as well as occassionally autox.

I use to have 18's SSR GT3 and about year and a half later, I switched it to 19" Volk SF Challenge.

Go with 19's. If you go with 18's you might regret it like me.

I would only go with 18's if you are going to track you car. 19's are little heavier so you may loose performance.

Anything over 18 should be limited to trucks. The 19's look too big and the 20's look ridiculus. Just my 2 cents worth.

I really appreciate all the comments & advice. I'm sure many others will benefit from this thread as they chime in. I've learned an awful lot about rims & tires but I still need more info. Please keep 'em coming. It's a BIG investment! Thanks!
