Default Just got my Lifetime Firestone alignment deal..

I went in to Firestone a few days ago and had my alignment done. The thing is my roaring sound is still there clearly.. the noise actually is still the same it isn't louder or quieter.

The tech told me he could adjust the camber on the rear but not on the front.. I always thought if he adjusted the toe back to factory settings it would get rid of this.. // -- \\ which causes feathering?

Does camber have anything to do with it? Getting more annoyed.. btw: I have hotchkis springs

Photos would be helpful. If the front tires are feathered or cupped, and they growl, nothing will make them be quiet again. You can waste money switching the front tires from one side to the other, but they will still growl (it cost me $70 to figure that out).

I would get you some photos but i don't have a digital camera.. sorry about that :-/

Is there a way to adjust the camber on the front? OR what if i get aftermarket coilovers would that fix my feathering problem?

I told the techs i had springs.. he told me "We'll do your alignment but only to factory specifications". I'm guessing if you brought it in to them they'll align your car but to the factory OEM specifications. But springs and coilovers is a huge difference so..

You can find alignment specifications in the Service Manual. One of our members just posted a link for free download.

If you have lowered your car or if your rear camber is off the best solution for the correct suspension setup are the Camber adjustment bars. Stillen has one for $439 USD. The are also made by JIC, These rear camber adjusters are equipped with semispherical rod-ends that allow incredibly controlled rear suspension travel & predictable response. The also improve handling and allow for even tire wear. Rear toe arms are also sold which allow you to adjust the rear toe angle on your Z to proper specs. When adjusted correctly you can now alleviate the issue of premature tire wear due to incorrect toe angles and improve traction stability and handling.

For the front there are Front Adjustable Camber Arms which will set proper camber, saving your tires while driving normally, and allow -2.5 Degree to +.25 Degree of adjustment necessary by some competition driving. Designed to out-last and to out-perform. Other added benefits and features include lubricant-retaining urethane bushings and Grade-8 fasteners. For an excellent complement and complete suspension tuning, add the Rear Adjustable Camber and Toe Arms.

December, they were having it go for 40 dollars off of the regular price of $150.

Got it all for like 116 with tax or something.
