agreed. are you sure you wanna spend $1500 on something your potentially gonna not be happy with? Id rather stay stock in that case until I could save up enough to get something your 100% gonna be thrilled with. I constantly struggled between volk GT7's and axis hiros for about a month. There is about a $1000 difference between them. new hiros with rubber came out to about $2200, thats a lot of money to spend on something I might have regretted getting. I couldnt live with that thought so I waited another month and bought the Volk GT7's and I couldnt be happier.

My Enkei RPF1 wheels and tires cost $1,250. (see photos in separate post) I bought the wheels used from a member of the forum for $650, tires were $600. These wheels are light, (about 18 lbs) strong (commonly used on the track) and, IMO, great looking. This same design is made by Enkei for the Mclaren racing team. No offense, Rays wheels are great, but are they better, or just more expensive? Are Rolex watches better time keeping insturments than Seikos? Is style more important than function?

How about these used: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=166303

$1400.00 seems like an awesome deal for Advan RGII's

Yeah, I'd get either the 19" G35 wheels, the 2006 18s, or the 03-05 track wheels.

I would love to HAVE a set of TE37s, but I would never pay over $2k for ANY wheel , it's just not worth it to me.

Then you shouldn't have even looked to the high priced brands. Look for heavier cast wheels instead of forged since that'll be more around your price range. Seems from your comment above you'd rather have show more than performance benefits anyway.

Yeah you're right, my 350 is a daily driver and will never see track time. I just like to cruise around with an occasional twisty road, it'll never see a track. Let's just say I have wine taste on a beer budget . If I were looking more for performance, then I could justify paying more for a set of wheels....I was hoping to find various sets of wheels so that I and others can change the look, without making performance worse that OEM equipment, while at the same time leaving a little money in the wallet. Yeah I know it's tough, I have a feeling i'll be looking/searching for a while

Myself, and many others I would think, have some sort of budget we like to stay on. So......if you know of a wheel/tire combo that won't break the bank, post up!(Pics too if you have any) Here's the criteria:

-$1500 max for wheels, tires, shipped to your door
-Must be 17" or larger
-Can't be heavier than the stock 17" wheels with tires
-If you are really good, some staggered setups as well
-No spinners please
I know where you can order 18" Enkie's with 245/40's and 275/40's for $1,580 shipped.

That's the right way to do it if you're on a budget, just take your time and look at various classifieds and I'm sure you will find something you like for $1500 or under. Good luck w/ the search.

You could do the Enkei PKR (Black) with 245/40 and 275/40R18 Falken FK-451's for $1361 shipped to your door minus sales tax.

Thanks,

Chris

19" G35 rims are the way to go I think...unless you get lucky over time searching classifieds or something.

Another really inexpensive option would be the MB Motorsports (A-Tech wheel) offered by Discount Tire Direct. They run from around $120 to $150 each depending on size, and I think they even have 18's but I am not sure. They have 2 models one is called the Weapon and the other the Competition. Got a set for dedicated track duty in 17X9 +27 all around, but I think it also came in a +12 which would look more aggressive in the rear. Going this route will get you brand new wheel and still keep you way under your stated budget.
