Biggest tires on stock rims

I was wondering what is the biggest tires i can put on stock rims. I would like to go bigger then 235 in the back.

you can do 275/40/17's all the way around as long as you drive with VDC off.

Not a good idea. The minimum rim width for 275/40s is nine inches. The 17" wheels are 7.5" front and 8" rear. The widest recommended tire for an 8" rim is 255/45. Putting large tires on small wheels can result in premature wear in the center of the tire, meaning shortened tire life. If ya just gotta get larger tires, get bigger rims too.
