Default Some wheels NOT for VDC cars!! why?

I read on Nismo wheels that they are not designed for cars with VDC What is different on them and what will happen if I fit them on a VDC equipped car?

Do the wheels come in 2 types (VDC & non VDC)?

It works fine. I have VDC on my car with Nismo LMGT4 wheels and no issues.

NISMO prepared marketing material for the wheels before testing a 350Z with VDC. For some odd reason, the pretest disclaimer can still be found.

My theory is that Nissan has put certain traction perameters into the computer program controlling the VDC and more (or less) traction from bigger/ wider/ stickier/ unstaggered/ etc. wheels and tires will possible cause the VDC to react differently in an emergency situation. Is this a risk? Well, I cannot detect any difference in vehicle dynamics after mounting different wheels and tires. However, If I smack a telephone pole someday and try to sue Nissan for faulty design work, I suspect that they will say that my aftermarket wheels screwed the VDC system and they are not at fault.

Do a search for VDC and you will learn that the wheel size doesn't impact the function of the VDC at all. The diameter of your front and rear tires needs to have a similar ratio as the stock tires to keep the VDC happy. If I recall correctly they must be within .5 -.75 inches.

That disclaimer is on all Nismo Products, so far everything works fine with the VDC.
