Question Same tire size front and rear (2005 base model)

Basically, I would like to run 235/50R17s both front and rear on the stock rims. Has anyone with a Base or Enthusiast tried this? Will the front rim take a little wider tire(it should, I've never seen one that doesn't)? The reason I would like to do it is because it should make for a little more neutral handling than the stock 225front / 235rear, correct? Remember I don't have to worry about TCS or VDC.

Opinions?

Or what if I did something crazy like 245/45R17s all around? Is something like that possible?

If you want to replace the front 225mm tire with one that is 235mm, that will work. But I doubt that you will see a significant handling advantage.

People have been running 245/45R17 F 255/45R75 R for a while so you can easily go 245 all the way around. I am currently running 275/35R18 up front on 18x9.5 +30 wheels with no rubbing, so yeah, there's room.
