ok, kinda hit me by suprise, but i need some rear tires quick. my traction is crap now, my tires have about 10% of tread left.lol. i was planning on saving money just the other day to get some better tires anyways, this is just making me speed up a bit.

i need to know what size tires would everyone rec for the stock 18's on my 03 Z. i was thinking of doing 255/?/18, but im not sure if i should get 40's or 45's, i want to stay around stock diameter. but im not sure how to calculate it.

also, what sizes would you all rec for the fronts too? thanks

stock: front 225/45/18 rear 245/45/18
sidewall~ front 101.25 rear 110.25

if you goto a 255, stick with a 45 ratio with a 114.75 sidewall instead of a 40 with a 102 sidewall (measurement are in mm) but if you goto 265 drop to the 40 and a 40 on 275. The goal is to stay as close to the oem sidewall.

if you have vdc, try to keep the number as close to oem as possible, a 275/40 is a better ratio than the 265/40 and a 255/45.

well tell me this, would you rec getting 245's on the fronts? ive heard that the Z's come with to skinny of front tires anyways for their suspension

 

I just replaced my stock:
front - 225/45/18
rear - 245/45/18

with:

245/45/18 all the way around. Did quite a bit for the understeer in sharp turns.
