Here's my car w/ the +22 offset in 19" TE-37... I'm thinking of possibly stripping the wheel and repainting with a lighter gunmetal from an NSX color and then polishing the lip then re-clear coating the wheel..

I think it will look AWASOME with lighter gunmetal and clearcoat... how much would that run?

Somehow those pics of the gunmetal TE-37's appear to be a much darker shade than what I have seen before (on your car!) Is it just the lighting, or are the wheels dirty?

Somehow, I don't really like the darker bit.

Put up some more pictures in various lighting if you could.

Two words:

Gunmetal doorhandles

Eh, maybe not. It would be interesting to see photoshopped, though.

does anybody know for sure if these are 19's or 20's. They sure look like twentys. The chrome ones on the first page that is.

This is in brighter lighting, the previous pictures were taken on a completely overcast day about when the sun was going down. It was drizzling a bit that day.

BTW... those chrome TE's look like 20's to me. I wonder if maybe they're knockoffs? I haven't seen them in 20's yet.

The Volks on the first page not sure if they are 20's or not, however I do have a bit of info on the finish. It is their special chrome-like coating. It is NOT chrome as Japanese companies know that chrome doesn't last very long before it starts peeling and dimpeling. Instead they developed a new powdercoating process which looks just like chrome but is much more resilient to the elements and unlike chrome (which requires 3 step process and a bronze coating beneath the chrome) does not reject alluminum. Because of this no blistering or peeling and looks great forever. Now each company has it available but under different names.
As for the Advan's they use cored cavity technology, see the holes in the center portion? Each spoke is actually cored out and hollow! Pretty amazing.

One detail that everyone is overlooking is the Z in the first pic is SLAMMED! 19's on a slammed car will always visually appear larger that 19's on a no/sport drop.

John350z

Are the wheels in the first picture "Flat Face Spokes" or "Concave Spokes". I want to run 19x10.5 in the rear with the biggest lip I can get, rolling the fender is not a problem if need it. Haven't decide yet between Volks TE-37 or SF-Challenge and by the way, I have my car lowered .9 inch front and 1.2 inch rear and waiting for the Stop Tech Brake kit (Front/Rear). Thank You!!

The first pic (signal auto chromeTE's) are running TE37 Special fitment...19x9.5 +22 front and 19x10.5 +22 rear. They have the concave spokes. You will have to roll the fenders but they do have the biggest lip for TE's.

John350Z switched his wheels to the special fitment a while ago so you may want to go to the wheel gallery and look him up.

Speaking of..where the hell is John? He hasn't posted in a while. He's probably standing outside the door of Rays in Japan waiting to ****** up the newest Volks...hey john, they have restraining orders in Japan too and i think they want to open their doors without seeing you there. lmao!

your killing me jimster716!!!!!!!

well, the signal auto car in the first pic actually has the lowered fitment in 19x8.5 22mm front and 19x9.5 12mm rear. rear fenders need to be rolled if dropped that low!!!!

anyways, just saying hi and ttyl.

the standard fitment is 19x8.5 front with 29mm offset
19x9.5 rear with 34mm offset

these have a deep lip, but have flat spokes.

the lowered fitment is 19x8.5 front with 22mm offset
19x9.5 rear with 22mm offset (12mm
offset also offered)

Any problems with using the lowered fitment of 22mm offset front and rear without lowering the car?
