Default Offsets for iForged wheels-help me decide

I am not sure what to go with, I think I am going with the 3 piece aero 19x8.5 with a 2" lip and 19x9.5 (or 10) with a 3"lip. At this point I am leaning towards 25 on the front and 28 on the rear. Also should I go 9.5 or 10 on the rear.

Help me out wheel experts, with some opinions.

Oh, also I plan to lower the can, likely with Tein Type Flex coilovers (on more than .75 inches) and have the stoptech 13.1" front brake kit. Tire size will be 245/35/19 and 275/35/19.

e-mail vince from iforged, he can calcualte the exact offsets needed. Basicaly the lowest you can go without problems... and Vince seems to know his way around the car in this area.

take a look at SkiDazzles car on this site, he has VOLK GT-C wheels, the wheel size is 8.5 F, 9.5 R. The offset is 27mm F and 24mm R. His sits pretty nice.

I have also seen the same size wheels for TE-37, and use a 22mm offset F+R and it looks good as well.

also, the Racing Hart wheels that are on this site on the red car, uses a +17mm offset F+R, I have e-mailed the owner and he says he has NO PROBLEMS rubbing and is going to lower the car soon as well.

another iForged owner (19" aero) on this site uses 8.5" F, 10" R, and has 29mm-F, 32mm-R for his car, it looks good as well.

I would like to go as far out to the wheel well, without rubbing, I am thinking about something more like SkiDazzles car, but would love to hear what others have to say as well.

I talked with Vince for a minute earlier today, he gave me a range of offsets. I was happy with the advice, but was looking for some other opinions.

Brad, I also may wait to see what your wheels look like, hurry up and post some pics .... I would like the FS-6 in a 20", but I am not sure about clearance and ride quality(and trying to find tires)

I just seems that you can go from say 20mm to 40mm, my question is what works best? I a previous post it was stated that to clear the stoptech's I would need a 2" lip, which is cool, I think the 2" and 3" will look good. Also, I never really considered a wheel with rivets, but I like the look of the aero's on the yellow M3. I like the way the Seneka's look on the Red 350Z as far as fit, I just think they are a little "busy" for my taste. I just don't want to make a mistake on offset, I guess a couple of mm's is not a big deal as long as everything works. OK I am finished with my rant. I think 25 and 29 may be what I go with (8.5 and 9.5), and looking at the Nismo LM-GT4's in 8.5 and 9.5 at 25 and 30, they seem flush with the fenders.

I've been researching offsets as long as anyone on this car. If you are going with 275's on the back you have more room with the 29mm+ offsets if you want to use it. From everything I've found you can go as low as 20+ or so on the rear...but probably 22+ would be as aggressive as I'd go if you plan to lower. I am going with 25+ but am going to run a 285 or 295 tire. Up front totally depends on the wheel to make sure you can clear the brakes you plan to use...so get the specs from the brake manufacturer and put that responsibility on the wheel supplier/manufacturer. As a general rule of thumb it seems 25 clears most...but again it depends on the brakes and wheel configuration. 22+ is safer, but then you push the wheel out further from stock and mess with all the controversial stuff like scrub radius etc.

Trust me, e-mail vince (IF you are actually planning to buy from him) about the offsets. He knows exactly what works, and what wont.

Also, I'm sitting here looking at my wheels (they are being mounted this afternoon ), and what physical part of the wheel makes the offset?

Yeah they should've been done by now, but I left the Nissan lug nut in the garage (i took it out cause it was banging around in the glovebox) so I had to drive home and back.

Thanks for the replies. I talked to Vince, but I will double check on the clearance of the brakes. In a previous post he stated it would clear with a 2" lip, which I prefer anyway.

Yes you will need a 2" lip in the front to clear the bigger brakes especially the stoptech or brembos
