This might seem like a dumb question, but which is the better of the two. I can buy a set of either for very similar pricing.
Thanks

You also might look at treadwear ratings, I tend to stay away from the lower numbers due to shorter tread life, my F1's have 280 wear, I won't go lower than that. I do not track so the longer those expensive tires last the better, good luck.

It just comes down to how hard core you are and how much you will push your tires. The Goodyear is almost always ranked number one. It came in first while the Toyo I believe came in 4th in the newest Road & Track rating on tires. If you want the ultimate, then the Goodyear is the way. If you want something good at a good price, then the Toyo is fine.

You can't beat PS2's. Only advantage to any other street compound tire is price, if they are cheaper. I do kinda like the new Dunlop SP Maxx tires, seem to have good specs but dunno they are too new not enough tested miles on them yet really. Another note on the PS2's, check out how light they are... especially rears, like compare a 275/40r18 to any of these other tires.
If you want cheapo, then why not Falkens or something... probably the best "bang for the buck" compromise you can get.
