here it goes
i have a 03' track with stock tires
i have dryrot beteween the tread
bridgestone will give me a set of re050, all four tiresfor $602 under replacement for defects
i need to take it to the deal for a feathering they may give me a new set of re040 fronts only
should i
1. get the front's free from nissan and get the rears for $300 from bridgestone
and just use the 040s
2. beg for the 050 for fronts from nissan and get the matching rears to match
and use the 050s $300 from bridgestone
3. choice #1 and then sell to get the pilots or go off size wth the ps2's which are $1000 - i know they are the better tire
the car will be on the track but will be used for mainly street use
any suggestions would be great

You might contact your Nissan dealer to see whether they can actually get you replacement RE040s. If not, you may be able to convince them to substitute Michelin Pilot sports.
When I took my car in for feather a few months back, the RE040s were on backorder with no delivery date in sight. The dealer had Pilot Sports in stock, and substituted them. The Pilot Sport is a great tire; no question about that.
However, Nissan's tire/alignment warranty on 2003 models ended in October 2005.
The warranty through Bridgestone may be all you've got.
