Default Wheel Pricing Woes

Greetings Members of the My350Z board:

I have been trying, for two weeks, to order a set of wheels for my Z. I have the money, I have the will, but no one seems to want to make some calls and get me prices and sizes. So, I ask you. Who are the good vendors? Who are the ones that want my money; who won't balk at looking up six wheels and getting back to me the same day? Below is the email I've sent to two vendors after speaking to them on the phone, still no price list has been sent back:

Hello,

I am interested in purchasing a set of wheels for my 2003 350Z Enthusiast trim level. I have narrowed down my list to a few wheels and needed some information. I am only interested in 18” wheels. I would like to purchase these wheels as soon as possible so please contact me as soon as you can.

I need the following information for each wheel:

1) Sizes Available (18x?)
2) Colors Available
3) Price

Note: I am really looking for an 18x9 for the front and an 18x10 for the rear.

List of Wheels:

Team 5 Zigen - http://www.5zigenusa.com/main.html

Sports Engine

Hyper 5ZR (18”)

Rays - http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/

G-Games 99B

Gram Lights 57S

A/X (Arthur Exchange) MM-X

Enkei - http://www.enkei.com/racingseries.html

RP03 Type RC

I would like to purchase these wheels as soon as possible so please contact me as soon as you can.

Thank You,

Agustin Gracia

I know how you feel. After a vendor posted something here a couple weeks ago, I PMed him for more information. That was on 2/27 and I still have not heard back from him. In fact, he hasn't been on the site since that post. Needless to say I won't be doing business with them.

Can't find wheels? Really? Ummm... How about a froogle search? I suggest:

a. A vendor with a 350Z wheels section. You select size and offset. Price is also shown. I hate the call for best price BS because it is BS. A seller who does not advertise prices does so for a reason.

b. Include a note with your order that reads: If you cannot ship on or before such-and-such date cancel my order. This avoids the neverending backorder nightmare.

Happy shopping.

I called F1 a few times last week and the line just kept ringing. I'll see if I can call them up after class today. AutoRnD will you be available today around 5pm EST? If not can you email me a price list (read first post)?

I pretty much had the same experience here buying wheels. Posted a request for what I wanted, did searches, contacted people, and in the end only one person definitively gave me a quote, which turned out later to be off by a couple hundred dollars I seem to recall. It made me wonder WTH as well. You wouldn't think it would be that hard to spend over $3,500 on whells, but I guess it is.
