I am new to the forum, and any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I almost bought an 04 touring the other day, but couldnt come to terms, and I am looking to get an 03 touring now, but the guys at the dealership STRONGLY urged me against the 03 model since something about the front wheel/suspension configuration makes the tires wear out after like 7000 miles. Is this true? and if so, what if anything can be done about it? Should I completely forget about the 03s? Thanks so much in advance for your replies.

For 350Z reliability check Consumer Reports. As far as feathering is concerned, there is an entire thread dedicated to the subject. Search is a valuable tool.

 

All sales people strongly urge that you buy something more expensive. Its their job.

 

There are plenty of 03 owners without feathering issues.

 

yes this was true bit it was also a nissan recall,they repaired it gave the car a wheel alignment and in most cases dished out for new tires,just ask them if the recall was done,and to prove it was done.They should have it on file,there is no big diff between the 03 and 04,buy the 03 ans with the extra cash get some mods,or send me the money..

I didn't see this post. I just dropped off my Z to the dealer today. Inner tire is gone completley. I noticed when I was installing some clear bumber lights. I'm pissed. They better replace my tires too...
