Default new tires of stock 17's

Im looking for a new set of tires for the my 17inch wheels. My main concerns is that they are close to or slightly larger then original tires and that they have good traction and last. Cananyone recommend a specific tire Im looking for maybe a 225/55/17f or 235/55/17f, 245/55/17r or something along those lines. I know these are slightly larger then original will that cause problems?

These are some that Iam looking at. Are these a good deal. and is the shorter side wall going to mess up my mileage? Is there any way to ajust to speedo for the new tire size? I figure every 20 miles I drive on these shorter tires I add like 1 mile to my odometer that I didn't really drive.

Default 17" tire size

I'm running Firestone Firehawks. I have 17" stock rims (enthusiast) and I put 235/45/17 on the front and 275/40/17 on the rear. This kept me at spec. with the front to back ratios. From what I understand 245 is the widest you can put on the front without rubbing.

I wouldn't be worried about the front... You put a 275 on the 8" wheel in the back?????????????????????? Thats a big no, no.... Good Luck A 275 should be on a 9" wide MINIMUM..............
