Powdercoating my wheels? Volk TE-37
I've had 19in. gunmetal TE-37's for about a month or two and I love the wheels, but I'm thinking black would look better. What do you guys think about powdercoating them black? Would it be risking its value, or should I not worry about that? The flat silver that Volk offered is nice too, but I'm thinking it would be harder to replicate that color. Maybe someone can photoshop my wheels black...
i guess it'd look something like this, without the red. I just don't know if it'll look good on my car compared to the gunmetal... http://performancenissanparts.com/ca...D=6727&osCsid=...
saw some powdercoated LE37T's, owned by a forum member. had PPW just like, it was very badass. If you did that I would also get your lips polished, otherwise I would keep it all gunmetal. completely black wheels without polished lips give you the "i lost all my hubcaps" look cause they blend in with the tires too much.
very nice, i do like my DB GT7's a bit more on my GT7's on PPW but if I ever had any major paint damage to my spokes, I would definately go your route.
oh, i found the pics of some LE37T's powdercoated.

Keep them the same! They look terrific like they are and you don't even have to spend any more money. This is just my opinion butwhenever I see black wheels, you cannever tell the design or look of the wheels from afar. I just think they look terrific the way they are.
I like the setup you have now...really clean..but at the same time, I love black wheels on a silver car too(im biased too though
). Another option instead of painting them is too custom order a set of black ones and then sell the ones you have now....that is of course if you are worried about the resale of repainting your current ones....
Leave it the way it is, that gunmetal color goes well with your car. It's a unique look. Don't be a sheep and follow everyone else that's going black on PPW. If you really want to change to another color change to bronze instead, or buy LE37 in Gold.
